It’s that simple

  1. Take photos

    Use your phone to photograph the invoice, the Fahrzeugschein and the Fahrzeugbrief.

    Their official names are Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil I and Teil II (registration certificate Part I and Part II).

  2. Read and check

    Artificial intelligence (AI) reads the data from the photos. Fixed rules check it. For example: is the chassis number (VIN) the same on all papers?

  3. You check

    If something doesn’t match, ExportKlar asks you in simple words. You see all the data and confirm it.

  4. Done

    You have checked everything. Your export declaration is ready for customs.

If you sell a car to a country outside the EU, you must declare it to customs. This declaration is called the export declaration.
Third country Drittland
A country outside the European Union (EU), for example Albania, Serbia or Turkey.
ATLAS
The computer system of German customs. Every export declaration arrives there.
EORI number EORI-Nummer
A number that customs gives to companies. Companies need it for every export declaration.
Export accompanying document (ABD) Ausfuhrbegleitdokument
A paper with a barcode. Customs issues it after the declaration. It travels with the car to the border.
Exit confirmation Ausgangsvermerk
Customs’ confirmation that the car has left the EU. It counts as proof for the tax-free export.
